Monday Motivation: Optimism & Preparation

Monday Motivation: Optimism & Preparation

Happy Monday! I hope you all are refueled from the weekend and ready to be great this week! We are so blessed to be alive, well, and journeying through a new day, week, and month. I often wonder why Monday’s carry more of a negative stigma rather than a positive one. Other than the fact that the weekend has ended. The point I am trying to make is that we never know how the start, middle, or end of any day may turnout. What we do have control over is setting ourselves up for success by being optimistic and preparing in advance for the upcoming day.

An ounce of hope and belief can give you the optimism needed. If we don’t believe in ourselves then who will? We must be our own biggest cheerleaders because when we face any obstacle our lifelines may be entangled and we are left to reach our destination alone. It’s also important to remain focused, goal-oriented, and not seek approval from others to push forward to be our best and do our best! Your goals are your responsibilities not anyone else’s. Preparation may look different for all of us and may also vary based on the task or situation. But, preparation is a guaranteed check mark as doing so already shows leadership, determination, and ambition.

What are some ways you set yourself up for success daily, weekly, and monthly? How do you evaluate your progress and what works best for you? Do you eliminate and add to your preparation routine? How do you keep yourself levelheaded and optimistic when you become overwhelmed? What things do you do to instill confidence in yourself daily, weekly, and monthly?

Below you will find notes I jotted down over the weekend to affirm a victorious week for myself and anyone else who may choose to apprehend them:

  • Greatness takes time but your greatness is what has lead you this far. Continue to be great! And remember even at a mastery level there’s always room for improvement.
  • Your continuous ideas of venturing off on a new avenue may seem frightening and cause doubt. But those ideas didn’t magically appear as what was once a thought and now a dream. It’s your reality, and it’s up to you to take the next steps to make it happen. Want to know the first step? START!
  • Progress and perfection cannot share the same throne. Keep progressing and perfection will follow.
  • Allow yourself time. The greatest achievements never happen over night.
  • There’s room for all of us. Just be unique and create the spark needed in what you’re trying to be successful in.
  • Work harder on yourself than you do on your job. The more value you bring to yourself the more marketable you will be! You my friend are a fortune and can make yourself a fortune!

You all have a blessed Monday!
